"The DMMF is such a great foundation. Dave was a great guy that I had the pleasure of dispatching many times. The foundation is doing a great job in carrying on the great work that Dave did in his community. The money they are raising is going to much needed defibrillators.
I am honoured that I was asked to be involved in the Dancing with the Stars and involved in the Dave Mounsey Memorial Foundation!"

Having known Dave and now understanding just how important it was for him to raise funds for these defibrillators; for myself to play a small part in continuing his dream for something as important as this, I consider it not only an honour, but a privilege.

"I have 24 years as a constable, working in Alliston, Hornepayne and for the last 16 years out of Wingham. Whilst in Wingham I worked with both Brenda Carey and Dave Mounsey. It was Dave who was one of the Officers who came to my door to tell me that my son Matthew had been killed in Afghanistan 4 years ago. 7 months later, I moved in with Brenda and the boys for the week after Dave's death to help them through that.

The second defibrillator that the DMMF donated, was in Matthew's name to the Wingham Legion.
When I was asked to dance in this competition and Brenda agreed to join me, I jumped at the chance. The practices have been a lot of work and a lot of fun and I am looking forward to throwing Brenda around the dance floor during our Swing Dance routine."

The bonus was that I could in the meantime help out a great cause and help raise money for DMMF.  The experience has been fantastic and I can't wait to show family and friends what i've learnt over the last few months!"

"I got involved in this dance competition because I firmly believe that with absolutely no dance experience whatsoever, it makes perfect sense to want to get up in front of a room packed with strangers and shake what your momma gave you !!  Kidding.. I truly think that this is a great cause, and not only did I have the pleasure of working with PC Dave Mounsey, being a dispatcher, I also had the chance to know him outside of work.  The DMMF had done alot of great charity events, but I think this will be a chance for us to let loose and have some fun."

"I volunteered to take part in DWTS to assist in making the event a success.  It was revealed to me that Shaun Snow and Brenda Carey were each competing in the dance competition and since I know that neither can dance I figured the competition would be a complete failure unless somebody stepped up.  When Jenn Wilson's partner backed out, I knew that no matter how bad I was that there would be two groups worse than us so I became Jen's new partner."
